Small improvements to the deck editor

I’ve done a little bit of work on the deck editor:

  • The “Starts with” bug has been fixed;
  • As hinted by the initial design, multiple searches (in different tabs) are supported. The user experience isn’t great and there’s a lot of room for improvement. But at least it’s there and it works.
  • I’ve added a “Set” filter, which was kind of left out during the first implementation of the deck builder.

All of these will be available when I publish the next update… (no date yet, I’m working on another feature I would like to include).

    Are you possibly going to be including a feature where you can look at the Top X cards of your library as well soon?

    Yes, definitively. But of course it depends on the definition of soon.

    I am going to publish an update as soon as I complete another “big feature”, which is not “Top X Cards”.

    “Top X Cards” is next on the list after that release. I think it’s one of the last missing features, which really prevent playing some cards.

    This may not be the place to ask this (although in an obscure way, is related) … so please forgive me in advanced if this is true.

    Is the CARD SET CREATION/READ method that is currently used in O2, going to be changing in upcoming patches?

    The reason being, i have all of the card/set scans for the SW TCG. If i go through and take the time to create, id’s for the cards and sets for O2, it would be very discouraging if the format for which they are read is changed.

    Thank you for the great piece of software you have provided (freely), it is appreciated.

    Also will there possibly be a feature where you can lets say move your entire discard pile from the game to the removed pile all at once?

    @BlenderHeader:
    The card set format is going to be extended with additionnal information, but it is isn’t going to change in a fundamental way.
    So you can expect that changes are mostly adding new sections inside the .xml file.

    @Kurt:
    Not in the next few release, I think. But multiple selection could be handy in other zones (than the table), so I’m thinking about it… You probably can expect such a feature in the final release, but it’s still unclear to me when and how it will be done.

    Blender you should go on IRC chat or the forums, and ask for help there. There are simple ways to make sets ready for any changes that might come out.

    About how long would you say it would take to have a feature where you would be able to let’s say look at the top 6 of your library / life deck? I am soon going to be releasing an online game, and was looking to use OCTGN2, but we plan on releasing it sometime towards end of April, which it looks sounds like it’ll be alot later then that for that feature to be added.

    I’m sorry but I can’t really say.

    This is definitely the next big feature after the current work. End of April may be possible, but at the same time there’s really no guarantee.

    It depends on many factors. Mostly how much time I’ll spend coding OCTGN and this is really random. It even depends on the weather, so… who knows?
