Fixing things

This week-end we did the final testing rounds. This brought to light several new issues, mostly related to the recent changes.

Everything is fixed now, so we’re only waiting for the website and the installer to publish alpha 2. Note that whenΒ I say “everything” I don’t really mean “everything”. There are still many things I would like to improve or modify – and I’m not even speaking about what is still missing! But remember this is just an alpha release. So by “everything” I meant: no issue that would be important enough to delay the release.

Great news πŸ˜‰

Great news indeed !! Finally we see the light at the end of the tunnel ! πŸ˜€

I hope the site will be up soon…

What about publishing it in the octgn chat room, until we have the new home?

Anyway, as always, thanks for all the effort you put into this project.

    Cheers !!!

    Yeah.

The website is taking too long.

Why not just host it temporarily on one of the many free file sharing websites and post the link here for us to download it for now, atleast until the website finally gets finished.

Sorry if I sound impatient. To be fair though, I have waited patiently for this program for 2.5 years. πŸ™‚

Yes, it’s really been that long. But I think it will be worth the wait.

  3. Kempeth Says:

awesome! I’m looking forward to the release.

Hmm. Hosting it on a file sharing website means that we get the file faster but all the pressure on the web team would be gone…

  4. Colin Says:

    Silly Kempeth,

Just don’t tell the web team they released it. That way we can all be happy (excluding the web team) πŸ™‚ Can’t wait for the release!!

  5. Kirb Says:

    Great work!

Although hosting the alpha on megaupload or a similar site would be a nice alternative until the site is created…

  6. Kempeth Says:

We still would have to discuss module and set creation, troubleshooting etc. If there’s gonna be a separate site for O2 then I can understand that they don’t want those discussions be spread over multiple sites.

  7. Gaspare Says:

Yes Kempeth, that’s the main concept, although we already have a site actually, and that’s octgn.org πŸ™‚

  8. Makkert Says:

    Great news!

    I’m eagerly awaiting alpha release.

    your old pal,

    Makkert

  9. Superman Says:

It’s coming up to three freaking years since you announced the program. Stop stringing us along and release it already. :p

    Please.

  10. Jorbes Says:

Take your time jods, it’s not like mws is being updated anytime soon πŸ˜‰

  11. compzone Says:

Where can I play against other mtg players with octgn??

  12. roblethal Says:

Hey jods, ok, so… who is working on the webstie, and do they need a hand former OCTGN admin?
