The table! It moves!

When I upgraded the codebase from Windows Forms (.NET 2.0) to the newer WPF (.NET 3.0), a few features disappeared in the process. One was animations on the table.

If your opponent moves a card on the table, instead of instantly “teleport” to its new location, it moves on your screen from one point to the other. In a similar fashion, if your opponent puts a new card on the table, the card is bouncing (getting bigger and smaller) for a little while. This really helps “seeing” what’s happening, and adds coolness to the general GUI.

Well, the good news is that the feature is back in my latest build. I would love to show it here, but obviously animations are hard to capture on a screen shot… 😦

There are two other features which were previously coded, but not yet ported to WPF. I intend to code and write about them soon.

Take care everyone,

jods

    Totally OffTopic, but I can’t find your email address anywhere..

    I’d like to get my hands on the markers that were created for version 2.0

    I’d be willing to pay for them with paypal.

    Sounds great. And any news of progress is welcome news indeed.

    @Jorbes:
    I answered by e-mail.

    The markers are free since they will be available for free in the end… Any paypal donation is welcome if you feel like giving money, but I don’t ask for it.

    Have a nice day,
